Homemade Flautas

 Homemade Flautas

So, but so simple! these Flautas are a hit in any entertaining gathering. I like it that I can prepare them in advance. Any day you're in the mood for crunchy delicious. I learned how to really get the tortillas to roll right from my neighbor Dali; who's Flautas were her favorite too. You can fry them as need to, or just make two batches for repeats! (I'm sure)

On a small plate you place one tortilla for 15 seconds on the microwave and just add the chicken; roll over and place a toothpick at the end.

(see pics)

Fill a large pot with enough oil and heat at medium; about 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Fry tortillas a few a time until golden brown (about 2 minutes).

Place on a paper towel-lined plate.

Ingredients:

  • Corn tortillas
  • Cooked shredded chicken (chicken breast or buy a whole chicken and shred all the meat)
Add:

Guacamole, Queso Crema and Pico de Gallo for the most flavorful crunch.
